Harriet & Michael

I know I say this about all of my brides but it's true, they are ALL lovely ladies (and gents) who I get on with as though we're old friends catching up for coffee. Harriet and Michael were no different. I met them after sending flowers to one of Harriet's colleagues; she loved them so much that she got in touch and we began planning her wedding florals.

They were married at Abbeville Estate with green garlands and draping florals adorning the venue, inside and out. The bridesmaids wore dove grey with delicate flower crowns to finish off the look.

Pre-wedding photos at an East Coast beach gave Harriet and Michael some time together before meeting their guests at Abbeville where they said their I-Do's and danced into the small hours.

All of it was beautifully captured by Chase Wild.

* Fabia and Ryan *

I only met Fabia and Ryan a few weeks before her and Ryan's wedding. We did the majority of the floral planning via email (all the Pintrest boards) and the odd Skype chat. Everything came together, Fabia's vision of a soft, romantic colour palette with accents of raspberry and burgundy was floral heaven.

Her gals were in matching dusty pink floor length dresses, their bouquets finished with trimmings from Fabia's gown.

Their summer wedding took place in West Auckland, before the ceremony, she came face to face with Ryan in his navy tux and slick pink tie (we love) for some time together before walking down their aisle at the Tasting Shed.

Their venue was adorned with garlands, flowers and clusters of succulents and it was all captured by our friend Libby Robinson Photography

Shelby and Callum ~ Those crazy kids

Working with Shelby was like working with an old friend...we got along so well that it was almost too easy creating her perfect florals. It was a treat to have so much face time with Callum the groom and their fur baby Toby too.

After a couple of meetings we had everything sorted, the florals for their Allely Estate wedding were going to be in muted, almost ashen sorbet shades, wild and draping.

The florals framing the bridal table had to be my favourite part, I couldn't have done it without my right hand gal Izzy.

Shelby and Callum, you guys are ace, I wish you all the happiness - give Toby a cuddle for me x

Jo and Geoff // colour pop wedding

Each wedding is different, special in its own way but this one was particularly bright, bold and fun.

I met with Jo and that's exactly what she wanted, all of the above. And we delivered of course.

Her bouquets were wild with pops of candy pink dahlias, roses, lisianthus, riceflower and eucalyptus, bound with silk ribbon. The groomsmen, simple yet bright with a single rose, gumnuts and eucalyptus, bound with ivory ribbon and the tables were just as bold as the bouquets. The stunner was the garland for the mantlepiece at Mantells, the bright flowers sitting pretty against the concrete backdrop.

~ Nicole and Sam ~

Nicole = Incredible.

When I met Nicole to chat about her wedding flowers, she knew exactly what she wanted ~ rich, deep shades of masala and plum with hints of raspberry, ivory and peach.

She wed Sam at Markovina on January 14th, 2017. The bridesmaids wore mis-matched, tonal dresses and Nicole, a backless lace dress from Rue de Seine.

The lads were dashing in navy which offset their burgundy buttonholes.

The January sun was shining (finally) and they were both cute as a button and so in love.

Such a genuinely sweet, kind and loving couple x

Mel and Steve, sitting in a tree...

Despite a drizzly morning on December 10th, 2016, Mel and Steve had a blast at their Matakana wedding. The sun peeked through just as the guests arrived.

Their rustic Matakana venue was the perfect spot for their relaxed, rustic wedding. We scattered clusters of posies around the venue and suspended floral hoops behind the bridal table.

The bouquets were in muted sorbet shades of peach, pink and cream with delicious texture and greenery sprouting through.

To Mel and Steve, with love x

Becks and Ben's Kumeu Wedding

I had a blast helping Becks plan her wedding fleurs. She knew exactly what she wanted and I was so happy when we executed her floral vision with bouquets, buttonholes, garlands and table flowers.

The flowers were a mix of creamy white and peachy sorbet shades with hints of sage green. Scroll down for all the photos.

Winter Wedding Inspo

Winter can be pretty dreary so when the lovely Jodie called asking if we wanted to create florals for a mid winter shoot, I said hells yes.

It was pretty special to use real life couple, Kirsty and Adam who are tying the knot later this year.

Shooting at the McGrath Estate, we wanted to keep the florals wild and organic to fit with the natural surroundings. Using the old farm building and beautiful grounds, Amy (from Amy's Secret Kitchen) styled the shoot, keeping it rustic with a contemporary twist.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, we were in good company x

~ Gwen + Jeffery ~

Oh Gwen. You little beauty. The epitomy of the etheral bride in a delicate lace dress for her wedding at Markovina Vineayard. So dreamy.

For the flowers, she wanted wild, romantic and rustic, as though they had been plucked from the meadow. That's just what we did using soft, sorbet shades of peach, strawberry and pistachio, bound with ribbon and raffia.

Trouble Marries Fox

Sometimes you get to work with an amazing bride and groom, creating incredible florals and contributing to their special day but then SOMETIMES, that bride and groom happen to be two very lovely friends who you've known for yonks.

Libby and Craig met in the States doing a snowboard season before coming to Nelson in 2010 and setting up two rad as retail businesses, and Trouble and Fox and Sidecar. Craig finally put a ring on it in April 2016 and Libby became Mrs Fox.

Nelson's Boatshed was transformed into a bright and beautiful Mexican Fiesta, complete with piñata and make-em-yourself tacos.

Sam and Allan

Sam & Allan's March wedding at Cassel's was a rustic garden style wedding with a hint of New Zealand's wild west coast.

The untamed bouquets of roses, lisianthus, scabiosa, vibirnum berries, jasmine and eucalyptus were in shades of masala, peach, indigo and sage. One of my favourite colour palettes of the season.

Their day was captured by my lovely friend Alex at Imagining The City.
