Trouble Marries Fox

Sometimes you get to work with an amazing bride and groom, creating incredible florals and contributing to their special day but then SOMETIMES, that bride and groom happen to be two very lovely friends who you've known for yonks.

Libby and Craig met in the States doing a snowboard season before coming to Nelson in 2010 and setting up two rad as retail businesses, and Trouble and Fox and Sidecar. Craig finally put a ring on it in April 2016 and Libby became Mrs Fox.

Nelson's Boatshed was transformed into a bright and beautiful Mexican Fiesta, complete with piñata and make-em-yourself tacos.

Rose Tinted Flowers x Simple Skincare

On May 17th, Simple Skincare launched a beautiful new range of gentle on skin products at the Sapphire Room in Ponsonby.

We created a lush green and white retreat where guests enjoyed a morning yoga session, a mouth watering spread from Bird on a Wire, accompanied by green smoothies and of course got to try the new Simple products.

To find out how we can make your next event extra special with our florals, email rosie@rosetintedflowers.com.

Sam and Allan

Sam & Allan's March wedding at Cassel's was a rustic garden style wedding with a hint of New Zealand's wild west coast.

The untamed bouquets of roses, lisianthus, scabiosa, vibirnum berries, jasmine and eucalyptus were in shades of masala, peach, indigo and sage. One of my favourite colour palettes of the season.

Their day was captured by my lovely friend Alex at Imagining The City.

Rose Tinted Flowers x Mini

Hidden in plain sight over the road from the Auckland Port is the Quay Project. After climbing the stairs to the 1st floor, it opens up to an expanse of hardwood floors, exposed beams and distressed paintwork making it the perfect blank canvas for a range of events, big and small.

We were invited to create an ethereal botanical installation in the space for an evening knees up for the peeps at Mini cars.

Hanging festoon lighting was nestled amongst trailing jasmine and ivy and on the trestles we designed botanical table runners of moss and succulents, framed with driftwood.

If you need floral styling for an event, big or small, email Rosie on rosie@rosetintedflowers.com and we'll help create something unique and beautiful.

Niamh: My wedding spirit animal

Niamh is one of the first ladies to contact me after I started my business last year. After listening to the vision she had for her wedding...the dress, the flowers, the cake, the location, I realised she was my wedding spirit animal.

Her and Ryan had a beautifully relaxed ceremony in an ivy lined courtyard followed by a knees up at the Hopetoun Alpha next door. Being a November bride, we used peonies in the bouquets. Lots of peonies. The table flowers were clusters of flower stems in mid-matched bottles of white and gold but the icing on the cake was the entrance to the courtyard. We created a trailing frame of jasmine and roses that greeted guests on their way in. I loved every minute of it.

Thank you Niamh and Ryan, wishing you every happiness,

Rosie and the team x

Victoria & Mike's wedding

I never get sick of working with amazing brides who I can collaborate with to create something beautiful and personal for their wedding day. Victoria was no exception. It was a dream thinking up the florals for her romantic yet classic wedding at Mantells in Mt Eden.

With an ivory lace dress from Rue De Seine, it seemed natural that we chose a colour palette of white, sage and gold for her florals. Her bouquet was made up of lisianthus, roses, queen annes lace, stock and scabiosa flowers nestled amongst scabiosa pods, eucalyptus and trailing asparagus fern.

The day was photographed by my talented friend, Samantha Donaldson Photography x

Flower Crowns at LuluLemon

The absolute BEST part of doing what we do, is working with a different, varied group of awesome people on fun projects, big and small.

Some days we're helping out with massive charity do's, others, we're chilling out with a small group of people, making flower crowns at Lululemon Britomart on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Karine, the manager has such a beautiful soul and was a dream to collaborate with. She provided the cushions and kombucha and we brought the florals. It's the first time we've had men get involved with a flower crown class and they loved it.

Take a look at the pics below and check out my students mad skills x

The Bread & Butter Letter flower crown workshop

Two weekends ago (when the sun was blazing hot) we hosted a two day flower crown workshop extravaganza with the lovely lasses at the Bread & Butter Letter.

Those gals are a bundle of fun to work with and the ladies who came along had some serious flower crown making skills (proud teacher alert). Everyone injected their own style and flair into their crowns, it's always great to see everyone's personality shine through in their work.

We chose a range of beautiful, dreamy flowers that were easy to work with and also dried really nicely (so you can get even more life out of your crown).

A few of you have asked when we're hosting another workshop...it won't be this side of Christmas but we're planning more floral fun in 2016. If there's anything you'd like to learn more about, or specific workshops you'd like us to hold, flick me an email - rosie@rosetintedflowers.com or sign up to our newsletter to keep in the loop.

Major thanks to Sarah and Rose for having us and putting together the incredible goodie bags...not to mention Cake & Co for the beautiful cakes and Be Spa tea for keeping us hydrated.

Rose Tinted Flowers: The pop up shop

Rose Tinted Flowers: The pop up shop

You may have heard that we've launched a pop up shop in Herne Bay. We're so excited to join forces with our botanical soul mate Gemma from Flora n Fauna Botanical Styling to create a retail space / art gallery at 216 Jervois Road (just up from Sills & Co and Tessuti).

We kicked off this new chapter on Wednesday Oct 28th with the help from Angelique and her PR wonder team. Friends, family and fans came to support us, not to mention Forage & Bloom who provided the aptly named 'Bloom' flavoured G + tea (which is healthy and delicious...OK, gin isn't healthy but Hannah's tea has so many benefits) and Jackie from Cake & Co for the sweet treats. All the action was beautifully captured by my wonderful photographer friend Sam, of Samantha Donaldson Photography

Thanks to everyone who supported, helped and said lovely things about our space. Hopefully we'll see you there soon x
